The depth of the Great Lakes Bay Region’s creative spirit will be on full display throughout Fall In… Art and Sol, a unique celebration of art, culture, science and more in October 2013.
You’ll find all kinds of ways to stimulate your senses at an assortment of performances, events and exhibitions across Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay Region all month long.
Art and Sol: The Power of the Sun
This year’s celebration highlights solar art – an innovative art form that combines architecture, design and science to create new aesthetic sculptures incorporating renewable technology. These works’ interactive possibilities are their main attraction. They produce solar power and apply it through motion, sound and LED lighting, adapting to the surrounding architecture and landscape and offering complementary resources that enhance the artistic experience of viewing the art.
